2 Weeks!

I cant believe our baby is 2 weeks old already! She had her 2 week appointment and did so good! I hated her sad cry when they did the heel prick. She has a hernia in her belly button but the Dr said he thinks that will heal up on its own and we will just watch it. She is 95% for her height (no surprise there!) 75% for her weight and 50% for her head. She is becoming more of a chunky baby and I love it! The Dr also recommended that we do tummy time, however when we do tummy time this is usually what happens...

She goes to sleep, and I mean a deep sleep!

(picture taken with my phone and I cant rotate it for some reason)

Some things about Taylee at 2 weeks
She hates being naked
She hates her baths
She Loves and I mean Loves music. Any time she is upset or fussy we can usually get her calmed down by turning on music or singing to her. Some of her favorites are I am a child of god, I love to see the temple, and any song by Scotty McCreery!
She loves her bouncer
She loves riding in the car
She loves bright lights
She will be so tired but does not want to miss anything so she will fight to stay awake
She loves to eat and is a very good eater
She loves cuddling with her Daddy
She has very powerful loud farts, that scare her. She will fling her arms and jump when she messes her diaper!

We love her so much!

Taylee

We are so In love with this little girl! Taylee McCall Erickson was born on Friday November 18th.  My actual due date was November 26. Thursday I had a Dr appointment and was only dilated to a two and he said he couldn't schedule an induction yet because I was not progressed far enough and i still had a little over a week until I was due.  Thursday night I was up all night with the flu, I finally fell asleep around 3:00 am and woke up at 6:00 am to what I thought was my water breaking. I realized I was bleeding so I grabbed Jason and told him we needed to go to the Hospital that this wasn't right. We got to the Hospital around 6:30 and they were not to concerned with the bleeding but my Dr did an ultra sound and said every thing looked good and that they would monitor me for a couple hours to determine if they were going to keep me. An hour later the nurse came in and said that my I was contracting ( I had no idea) and that they decided to keep me!! I was very excited but at the same time I had just been up all night throwing up and looked awful and was so tired.  They started me on Pitocin and increased it every half hour, around noon I was ready for my epidural! After that I felt pretty good, and we just hung out and waited. Once I was dilated to a 10 My Dr came in and had me start to push. The could see the top of her head but once I would stop pushing she would float back up. They gave me about an hour rest and then I started to push again. Once they broke my water, they could tell that Taylee had, had a bowel movement so they called NICU in to the room and they got all set up and ready for when she was born. Once she was here the Dr Immediately handed her to NICU and they began to stick tubes down her and suck her lungs out, I just kept saying she is blue, and not crying! My Dr, kept informing me they didn't want her to do that yet because they wanted her lungs to be clear. They were able to clean her lungs out and she is perfect!!  She weighed 8lbs 1 ounce and was 201/2 inches long. We love her so much, and cant get enough of her. The nights have been rough and I am lucky enough if I get a shower in, but we are learning and I have come to except that having big bags under my eyes might be a new look for me! Jason is the best dad and has been so helpful. I love watching him with his little girl. There is nothing better then seeing My two loves snuggled together! I am so grateful and feel so blessed to have her!

Its My Birthday Month!

Every Year once September hits I always call it my Birthday Month.  I use it as an excuse if I dont want to do something even though I am mostly Joking I try and get out of doing things like dishes and all that not so fun stuff by saying I cant its my Birthday Month! This last weekend I went to Swiss days with the girls in my family it was so much fun and we all made some good purchases and spent the night in Park City. When I came home this is what Jason had waiting for me...

This is what the note said

It made me laugh and I am sure Jason is sick of me telling him daily that its my Birthday Month!  I was surprised and it really is the little things that mean the most!

Project Nursery

We decided we better get started on Baby Taylee's nursery! I have no theme and no clue really what I am doing! Luckily I have talent in the family so I love hearing there Ideas and really owe a huge thanks to my Mom and Sister for all there help so far.

This is Taylee's room when we bought our house. A Huge Mess. Tearing down the wall paper was probably the worse part, and we could not get all the glue of the wall. My Mom and sister came over while me and Jason were gone for our anniversary and they texturized the wall and painted it and it looks so good! You cant even tell there was wall paper glue all over it!

I had a bigger dresser that is identical to this, I just didnt take a picture of it before we painted it.

Its kind of hard to tell in the pictures but we painted it an Ivory and then glazed it and added the designes in the middle of the drawer. We still need to buy the rest of the Knobs and put them on, I was just waiting until they went on sale! I really like how it turned out!

See that ugly light that was in our dining room, it has to be as old as the house and We have wanted to throw it out but just havent gotten around to it! I am glad we didnt throw it out because we took it down and spray painted it and it looks so cute now! this will be going in her Nursery as well.

My parents bought us this Pottery Barn Glider from Down East that I love

It didnt come with the Cushions so we figured we would just get on Pottery Barn and order some. Wrong! They want $300.00 just for cushions that is more then the chair cost, so one of the next projects will be to make the cushions, I should say my mom will probably be making most of the cushions because I havent used a sewing Machine since Jr High when I had to make a pillow case for a class, but hopefully I can learn again!

Thats all for now!  I am excited to get everything put together and for more projects for her room! I go in her room all the time and just sit in the chair and it makes me so excited that she will be here in a few months!

Its a Girl!

Our little baby is a girl! We actually couldn't wait any longer and went to Fetal Fotos a few weeks ago and they said it was a girl. We all thought it was a boy, well everyone but my sister in law and my dad so we were shocked, but excited. I started to get a little nervous after I started buying stuff because my niece kept telling me it was a boy, even when I told her she was a girl she would say No its a boy! We had our big ultrasound and they confirmed it was a girl and that Every thing looks great! She is measuring a few days a head of schedule!

Were in trouble! Here is her Shoe collection already (photo from my phone so its not the clearest!)

Here is the Belly at 20 Weeks!

So far Pregnancy has been pretty good!
I felt pretty sick the first 17 weeks and now am starting to feel much better with the ocasional headache and heartburn! I felt her move for the first time at about 14 weeks and she is getting pretty active. Jason got to feel her move for the first time last week, It is such a cool feeling! I am always Hungry and trying to get full in the morning is the hardest. I am still tired but cant sleep in past 7 or I have a massive Headache. Our baby girl thinks my bladder is her squeeze toy! I cant believe we only have about 19 weeks left! We are so thankful for this opportunity and are so glad that so far she his Healthy!

4th of July Weekend

We had a very fun weekend, lots of family time and we absolutely loved it!

Friday night Jason had a soft ball game and I went to the Wizard of Oz play with my sister and Niece.

It had a little bit of a slow start but it was still fun and Avery loved it, she was so worried it was going to be over so she kept saying its not over, and that she wanted it to come back. She also loved the witch for some reason!

On the 4th of July we went to the Kaysville parade. I was shocked when Jason told me he had never been! My family came to even though they live in Utah county they still consider Kaysville home.

After the parade we went to The movie Transformers everyone said it was good but I couldn't tell you because I fell asleep several times throughout the move. Pregnancy will do that to you!

Later that Night we went to My aunts house for fire works.

Clint and Jason Making there own fire work!
