Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we had Thanksgiving with the Erickson's. We had lots of yummy food, good company,  and we played Minute to win it. I am grateful to have such an amazing family and feel so blessed!

Taylee

We are so In love with this little girl! Taylee McCall Erickson was born on Friday November 18th.  My actual due date was November 26. Thursday I had a Dr appointment and was only dilated to a two and he said he couldn't schedule an induction yet because I was not progressed far enough and i still had a little over a week until I was due.  Thursday night I was up all night with the flu, I finally fell asleep around 3:00 am and woke up at 6:00 am to what I thought was my water breaking. I realized I was bleeding so I grabbed Jason and told him we needed to go to the Hospital that this wasn't right. We got to the Hospital around 6:30 and they were not to concerned with the bleeding but my Dr did an ultra sound and said every thing looked good and that they would monitor me for a couple hours to determine if they were going to keep me. An hour later the nurse came in and said that my I was contracting ( I had no idea) and that they decided to keep me!! I was very excited but at the same time I had just been up all night throwing up and looked awful and was so tired.  They started me on Pitocin and increased it every half hour, around noon I was ready for my epidural! After that I felt pretty good, and we just hung out and waited. Once I was dilated to a 10 My Dr came in and had me start to push. The could see the top of her head but once I would stop pushing she would float back up. They gave me about an hour rest and then I started to push again. Once they broke my water, they could tell that Taylee had, had a bowel movement so they called NICU in to the room and they got all set up and ready for when she was born. Once she was here the Dr Immediately handed her to NICU and they began to stick tubes down her and suck her lungs out, I just kept saying she is blue, and not crying! My Dr, kept informing me they didn't want her to do that yet because they wanted her lungs to be clear. They were able to clean her lungs out and she is perfect!!  She weighed 8lbs 1 ounce and was 201/2 inches long. We love her so much, and cant get enough of her. The nights have been rough and I am lucky enough if I get a shower in, but we are learning and I have come to except that having big bags under my eyes might be a new look for me! Jason is the best dad and has been so helpful. I love watching him with his little girl. There is nothing better then seeing My two loves snuggled together! I am so grateful and feel so blessed to have her!
