Spring is near!

Which brings yard work! I actually havent done anything but Jason came home from work one night and was really excited to rip out the ugly bushes in our front yard. I called him Mr. Clean that day because he tore out the bushes and then came in the house and started to clean and organize things!

Do you thing we need to make a trip to the dump?!

We also went Hiking up Farmington Canyon. We took Ace which probably looked really funny hiking with a little house dog, he didn't last long and would just lay down so we went to the Lagoon trail, thats more his style!!

One of my Favorite things

I am loving this weather! Today after Church we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and go on a walk. I love taking walks with Jason.  Ace has never been on a leash before and at first he was freaking out and we had to pull him. He is getting the hang of it, and I hope this good weather sticks around!

Ace really did not want to walk- We pulled him most of the way

Updates

Most of our Friday Nights are spent supporting my little brother and going to his Basketball games. It is actually really fun and its so funny to see what chants, props, posters the fans come up with. His team is doing really good and they have only lost one game.

Superbowl sunday is always a success. I love all the food and always eat more then I should. This year we went to my parents they had Chili dogs, Chick Filea nuggets, relish tray, shrimp, CPK pizza, chips and dips, cheesecake, and so much more. While the boys watched the game the girls worked on some crafts. My sister made a really cute pillow and I made canvas pictures .

I have had my eye on a Table for about a month. I decided not to get it and to continue to look around. I just never found one that I loved. So I went and bought the first one that I really liked. For those of you who havent been to Osmmond Design you really need to go! It is amazing. When I went to get my table I found a couch and a chair that I love. I know I dont need it right now but I cant stop thinking about how cute it would look in my house.. This store is amazing! I still need to find some different stuff to put on the table but I needed to decorate it the second I brought it home so this is it for now.

Thats about all that is going on in the Erickson home! We are both busy with work and still doing little projects around the house. Its finally starting to look and feel like a home, I hated all the mess from the remodel!

Me vs the stairs

Do you ever have one of those days where you dont want to get out of bed and then through out the day you realize you really should have just stayed in bed?! My husband thinks I am a little Dramatic but this morning my alarm went off at 5:20 like usual I pushed snooze one to many times to the point where I was now running late. I have a routine every morning where I shower then put sweats on and finish getting ready, Then I run outside and start my car and come back and get dressed. Well this morning  I let the dog out and was looking for shoes that I could hurrry and put on to go start my car. The only ones that were by the door were Jason's big cluncky skater shoes so I put them on and took one step outside on our porch and ate it down the stairs. They were so Icey that I didnt even stand a chance of making it down them without falling!! It hurt so bad and I swear I had to of  broken a bone, so after  crying a "little" bit and trying to get up I see Jason half a sleep darting out of the bedroom in his G's. The conversation went something like this.

Jason- What happend, Where is the dog?
Me-I ate it down the stairs
Jason- oh... by the way you were Screaming/Crying I thought for sure The dog got hit by a car or something
Me- Showing him all my battle wounds, and I tell him "you didnt put Salt on the ice" (I had to blame the embarassing moment on someone right?)
Jason- use the railing!
Me-Crying trying to get dressed limping around the house (ok so I may be a little dramatic but I swear I cracked the stair thats how hard I hit!)  Pulled out a white shirt to put on and Jason goes you already have one of those on.. I proceed to tell him its a SHIRT not my G's. Jason trying to be helpful notices my finger is bleeding and tells me it will feel better if I pull that skin off. Wrong! not to mention it got blood on my shirt.

I finally made it to my car and cried the whole way to work. Im not sure if it was because my butt hurt so bad, or my pride kicking in. I just hope no one saw my little slip down the stairs.

I know this is kind of a stupid blog post but I find myself  replaying it in my head and laughing at it. I think it is so funny that I blamed Jason for not putting salt on the stairs, and that he darted out of bed so fast when he heard me cry, or as he says Scream thinking the dog got hit by a car or something serious happend.

The stairs definetly won this morning as I  have bruises on my hand, arm, legg, and butt! I thought what a great start to the day but luckily it hasnt been that bad of a day!

Lets bring on Spring no more snow please!!

Lights, trains, and more!

We decided to have a little sibling Christmas party with the Erickson Clan. We rode the train down to SLC my nephew Mason was so excited. Then we went to the gateway and had dinner. After dinner we went to temple square and looked at the lights and then headed back to Ty and Cap's house for some yummy dessert that she made and to exchange gifts. It was so much fun and hopefully we can make this a tradition. Seriously there is never a dull moment when you get us all together.  When we were going to get on the train we all piled in the elevator and stood inside it for a good amount of time before we realized that no one pushed the button!

As Jason says "good thing you wore your train hat!"

Christmas Bingo

This is one of my Favorite Traditions. every year we get together and play Christmas bingo for prizes there are a variety of prizes from funny shirts to money. I scored this year since I won black out! This year we made Gingerbread houses and it was a lot of fun. Each couple made one, well Austin and Clint had to do one together since they were dateless!  My dad and uncle judged them and sadly Me and Jason took third. I love this time of year and spending time with family and friends.
